This course is designed to equip learners with the skills and knowledge required to perform multi-skilled welding using CO₂ (MIG/MAG) and Arc (Stick) welding techniques. Participants will develop competency in handling welding equipment, understanding materials, applying safe practices, and producing high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
COURSE RANGE
The course focuses on:
- CO₂ Welding (MIG/MAG): Welding mild steel and other common metals using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW).
- Arc Welding (Stick): Welding ferrous metals using Manual Metal Arc Welding (MMAW).
- Welding Safety: Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard identification, and mitigation.
- Workpiece Preparation: Cleaning, fitting, and positioning materials for welding.
- Joint Techniques: Fillet welds, butt welds, and lap welds.
- Weld Quality Assessment: Visual inspection and basic non-destructive testing.
